LABOR DAY OBSERVANCES

Monday is Labor Day. Banks, savings and loans, and most other

financial institutions will be closed. Also, city offices and courts

will be closed.

Garbage collection

Portsmouth will have regular collection.

Suffolk will collect Tuesday.

Chesapeake will collect Wednesday.

Recycling collection

Chesapeake and Portsmouth will have collection on the same day as

garbage collection.

Postal service

There will be no regular mail delivery Monday.

State offices

ABC stores will be closed Monday.

All Department of Motor Vehicles customer service centers will be

closed.

Tidewater Regional Transit

Buses will follow a Saturday schedule.
