AMELIA B. BLOOM

Amelia Bishop Bloom, 88, formerly of Norfolk and a resident of Atlanta, for the past 15 years, died Aug. 31, 1997.

She was the widow of Milton Lawrence Bloom. She was a former member of Ohef Sholom Temple in Norfolk and of the Marcelle Gates Sewing Club and a former member and treasurer of the Ohef Sholom Sisterhood.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Dr. Donald Block of Atlanta; grandsons, Bret Block and his wife, Michelle, of Atlanta, Bradley and his wife, Janice of Highland Park, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Simon and Isabelle Block of Atlanta and Sara and Alexander Block of Highland Park; sister, Mildred Ellisberg of Raleigh, N.C.; nieces, Judith Barr of Builford, Conn., Linda Longman of Virginia Beach, Barbara Abeille of Cabin John, Md.; and a nephew, Jerry Ellisberg of Raleigh.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, by Cantor Jennifer Bern-Vogel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson's Research Fund, Emory Clinic, 1365 Clifton Road, Atlanta, Ga. 30322. The family will gather at 1430 South Veaux Loop, Norfolk (Lafayette Shores), after the funeral. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
