JERRY C. HILL

Jerry C. Hill, 92, formerly of South Division Street, died Aug. 30, 1997, in Autumn Care Nursing Home.

Mr. Hill was born in Tyrell County in Columbia, N.C. He was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of Hill's Woodyard. He retired from his business in 1978.

Survivors include his son, Dennis J. Hill Sr.; three grandchildren, Dennis J. Hill Jr., Andrea Hill and Travis Hill; and a caring daughter-in-law, Connie O. Hill, all of Prince George County, Va. He is also survived by seven nieces, four nephews, a host of grandnieces and grandnephews, a sister-in-law, and a devoted friend.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Metropolitan Baptist Church, Suffolk, by the Rev. Robert Hobbs. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will be at Crocker Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
