AGNES GRIMES

Agnes Grimes of the 600 block of West 37th St. died Aug. 29, 1997, in Sentara Community Care.

Born in Norfolk, she was retired and was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Verita Grimes of Norfolk; two sons, Keith L. Grimes and Xavier R. Grimes, both of Norfolk; three sisters, Magdalene R. Grimes, Mary Grimes and Martha Grimes, all of Norfolk; a brother, James Grimes of Norfolk; and a grandchild, Amina Bryant of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Mount Carmel Baptist Church by the Rev. Edward Russell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Wednesday and will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. The family will assemble at 7479 Hughart Street at 11 a.m. for the processional. Carlos A.
