ELIZABETH T. COLANNA

Elizabeth Taylor Colanna, 90, of The Hermitage, formerly of Virginia Beach, passed away at her home on Saturday evening, Aug. 30, 1997.

She was the widow of John William Colanna Jr., born in Accomac, Va., and was the daughter of Captain Lynn Floyd Taylor and Mrs. Josephine Fox Taylor. She was the last survivors of nine brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Colanna has lived in the Tidewater are for 70 years and was a member of Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, Norfolk Yacht and Country Club and was a former board member of the Episcopal Church Home in Norfolk.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jo Rhea Colanna Ford and a grandson, John David Ford of Anniston, Ala., and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted from Edgehill Cemetery in Accomac at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, 1996 by the Rev. Dane C. Bragg. Memorial donations may be made in memory to the Hermitage on the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 300, Onancock, Va. 23417 or to a favorite charity. Lilliston Funeral Home is in charge.
