LOUIS R. REIBOLD SR.

Louis R. Reibold Sr. died Sept. 1, 1997, in DePaul Medical Center.

He had retired in 1965 from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service and also retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He was the retired owner of Reibold Bus Service. Mr. Reibold was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Mary ``Billie'' Reibold; daughters, Katharine Bennett, and her husband, Jack, of Virginia Beach; sons, Louis Reibold Jr., and his wife, Marilyn, of Chesapeake, William Reibold, and his wife, Kathy, of Norfolk, Robert Reibold, Richard Reibold and Gerald Reibold, all of Norfolk; sisters, Mae Galbraith and Helen Roberts, both of Carlisle, Ky.; and grandchildren, Bellenda Johnson, Jason Reibold, Kimberly Reibold, Mark Bennett, Kelsey Bennett and Stacie Reibold.

A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
