SALLIE P. HAYNES

Sallie Parker Haynes, 68, of the 2600 block of Sunrise Ave. died Aug. 31, 1997, in a local hospital.

She was a member of Kingdom Hall, Chesapeake.

Survivors include her husband, Wendall Haynes; a daughter, Mildred Nixon of Chesapeake; five sons, James Nixon of Brooklyn, N.Y., Jerry Nixon of Chesapeake, John Nixon of Hampton, Va., Carl Nixon of Norfolk, Glenn Nixon of Dover, Tenn.; sisters, Minnie Ford of Fayetteville, N.C., Carrie Stevens of North Carolina, Martha Minggia of Norfolk; three brothers, Abraham Parker of Rochester, N.Y., David Parker of New Jersey, Ellison Parker of St. Paul, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Kingdom Hall, 2000 Myers Drive, Chesapeake, by Elder Charles White. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 2616 Sunrise Ave., Chesapeake, at noon Saturday for the procession to the hall. Metropolitan Funeral Service is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
