The deaths of three infants prompted a recall Tuesday of 125,000 infant swings sold under the brand name Lil' Napper.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Century Products Co. said three babies have died and one was nearly strangled after their necks got tangled in the swing's harness straps. The infants were 6 to 9 months old.
The company said it will provide free repair kits to families that own Lil' Napper models 12-344, 12-345, 12-347, 12-475 and 12-476, and said customers should not use the swings until the seat pad and restraint straps have been replaced. Repair kits can be obtained by calling Century at 800-231-1448 or by writing to Century Products Co., 9600 Valley View Road, Macedonia, OH 44056. KEYWORDS: PRODUCT RECALL
