Deloris Linear Brinkley, 71, of the 700 block of Lawrence Drive, died Sept. 1, 1997, in her home.
Born in Norfolk, she had retired after 26 years as a teacher with the city of Norfolk. She was a member of the South Norfolk Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include her husband, Maurice C. Brinkley of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Elaine B. Miller of Chesapeake; a son-in-law, Walter A. Miller of Chesapeake; a brother, John E. Linear Jr. of Norfolk; a niece, two nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Kingdom Hall, Humboldt Road, Norfolk, by Mr. Ulysees S. Meeley. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends will meet at Kingdom Hall the day of the service. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
