RUBY B. BUTLER

Ruby H. Bowles Butler, 90, formerly of Portsmouth and a resident of Lake Sumner for the past six years, died Thursday Aug. 7, 1997, at home.

Mrs. Butler was born Oct. 27, 1906, in Portsmouth to the home of John S. Holland and the former Emma M. Cutchin. She was reared in Portsmouth, where she attended school. She was a homemaker and a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church, in Portsmouth since 1980 and Western Branch Baptist (formerly South Street Baptist Church) since 1930.

Survivors include a daughter, Ruby M. Fox of Lake Sumner; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. No local services are planned. Chavez Funeral Home, Fort Sumner, handled arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
