Janie V. Roberts, 98, of 6600 Charnwood Court, died Aug. 31, 1997.
Born in Surry, Va., she was the widow of Andrew T. Roberts and a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Alice B. Cooper of Norfolk; grandchildren, James Spruell, Janie Jordan, Joseph Cooper, Alice Joyner, and Barbara Randolph; 31 great-grandchildren; 33 great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Temple and Joseph Randolph
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Saturday in Norfolk by John Davis. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Hale Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
