James F. Stephens Jr., 68, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 1997, at Brentlox Nursing Home. He was born in Richmond and was a resident of Portsmouth.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle Hill Stephens; son, Gary W. Stephens; daughters, Chris S. Jaffee and Cindy S. Mathias; granddaughters, Alex Jaffee and Jessica Mathias; grandsons, Austin and Ryan Mathias; and sisters, Frances Corey and Betty Haywood.
A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. today in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by Rev. Daniel J. Campbell. The family will receive friends at 525 Wittington Drive, Chesapeake, Va. 23320. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
