George Case Ward, 75, of the 100 block of Sign Pine Road, died Thursday Sept. 4, 1997, in the Rex Hospital, Raleigh.
A native of Chowan County, Mr. Ward was a son of the late Julien E. and Lelia Francis Ward. He had served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Ward Family Cemetery, Tyner, by the Rev. Dennis Conner. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Albemarle Hospice, E. King St., Edenton, N.C. Evans Funeral Home, Edenton, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
