Harvey Fray Trainum, 69, died Sept. 6, 1997, in a local hospital.
Born in Louisa County, Va., he was a retired cable splicer for C&P Telephone. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Etta Wolfrey Trainum of Norfolk; a daughter, Barbara Denice Trainum Ward of Georgia; three sons, Lance G. Trainum, Kevin W. Trainum, both of Virginia Beach, and Burgess Trainum of Palmyra, Va.; two sisters, Euginea Bumpass of Mineral, Va. and Norma Peers of Gordonsville, Va.; two brothers, Brian Trainum of Gordonsville, Va., and Edgar Trainum of Louisa County, Va.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. John Marshall. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today and at their residence. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
