DENIA C. KIMBLE

Denia Carol Kimble, 29, of the 2300 block of Selden Ave., died Sept. 4, 1997, in the Medical College of Virginia.

She was a former member and acolyte of the Greater St. Andrew A.M.E. Church where she participated in the Usher Board and Junior Choir. She attended the Virginia Beach public schools and was a graduate of Kempsville High School. She went on to further her studies at the Woodrow Wilson School, Staunton, Va.

Survivors include her daughter, Roenia Kimble of Richmond; her son, Henry John Kimble of Dinwiddie, Va.; a sister, Garnett Denno and brother-in-law, Roy Denno; and paternal grandmother, Susie Kimble of Virginia Beach; a special friend, Ronald White of Richmond; a special cousin, Morris Kimble II; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Florence Godsey Kimble and Matthew Kimble Jr.; her brother, Kirby C. Kimble; her maternal grandparents, Calvin and Naomi Godsey; and paternal grandfather, Mathew Kimble Sr.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in the Greater St. Andrew A.M.E. Church, 3008 MacDonald Road, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Dr. Raymond C. Pittman. The body will repose in state at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Family and friends will assemble at 1028 Tamar Ave., Virginia Beach, Queen City, at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday for the funeral procession to the church.
