Gerould L. ``Mac'' McConnell Sr., 62, died Sept. 5, 1997.
Born in Elmira, N.Y., he was retired as a hull tech senior chief after 22 years with the U.S. Navy. He also worked for Jonathan Corp. for 20 years. He was a member of Bayside Masonic No. 218 AF&AM, Khedive Temple, and Big Top Flea Market. Mr. McConnell was the widower of Phyllis McConnell.
Survivors include four daughters, Kim M. McConnell of Norfolk, Colleen A. Everson of Foley, Mo., Rebecca L. Haugh and husband, Donald, of Norfolk, and Norma J. Eggleston and husband, Duane, of Norfolk; a son, Gerould L. McConnell Jr. of Norfolk; two sisters, Jan McLaughlin and husband, Ed, of Elmira, N.Y. and Nancy Vallely Kamuela, Hawaii; and 11 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lester and Marjorie McGill McConnell; and a brother, Jack McConnell.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The family will be at Woodlawn Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Contributions may be made to the Crippled Children's Hospital or American Cancer Society. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
