Clinton C. Burton, 48, of the 100 block of Yorkshire Road, died Sept. 5, 1997.
A native of Franklin, Mr. Burton was a music publisher and entrepreneur. He was CEO of Sugar Whammy Inc. He was a member of Mount Nebo RZUA Church, a church musician, and a member of St. Luke Lodge of Elks No. 279.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl R. Burton; a daughter, Cheyenne Burton; a son, Clinton R. Burton Jr.; three sisters, Willie Mae Stepney, Viola Reid and Mary Scott; a brother, Johnnie Burton Jr.; and an aunt, Cora E.T. Burton.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Nebo RZUA Church by Dr. Calvin Merritt. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY DEATH OBITUARY
