Ruth Russell Nash, 78, widow of Robert ``Mike'' Nash and Emmett L. Russell, died Sept. 8, 1997, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Nash, a native of Portsmouth, was the daughter of the late former Portsmouth Vice Mayor H. Earl Weiseman and Mrs. Mabel Baker Weiseman. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and was a past president of the Golden Rule Sunday School Class.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Harry E. Weiseman and Margie B. Weiseman of Chesapeake; and a host of other relatives and friends including a special, dear friend, Mrs. Frances Vass McLean of Portsmouth. She was predeceased by a brother, Jack E. Weiseman.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Robert F. Cofield Jr. and Rev. Dawn-Marie Singleton. Friends may join the family from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel. Donations may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
