Edward L. ``Blue'' Belfield Sr., 72, of the 3300 block of Turnpike Road, died Sept. 6, 1997, in Beverly Manor of Portsmouth. He was born in Rich Square, N.C.
Mr. Belfield is survived by five daughters, four sons, two sisters, a brother, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth, by the Rev. W.S. Hampton. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Thursday. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday for the service. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
