NEALIE D. CAMPBELL

Nealie Dean Campbell, 85, of Rivercrest Court, died Sept. 8, 1997, in Chesapeake.

She was a native of Fuquay-Varina, N.C., and the daughter of the late Jesse David Dean and Lura Matthews Dean. She was retired from Tektronix Co., Beaverton, Ore., and a member of Christian Light Christian Church, Fuquay-Varina.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence Campbell; three sisters, Alta D. Jacobs of Portsmouth, Josephine Ottaway of Wilmington, N.C., Elsie Olive of Lumberton, Texas; two brothers, Ellis D. Dean of Wilmington and Max Dean of Sanford, N.C. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dean.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Steven Bingham. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Christian Light Christian Church, Route 2, Fuquay-Varina, N.C. 27526.
