James M. Doby, 64, formerly of Norfolk, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1997, in the Avis B. Adams Convalescent Center.
He is survived by his mother, Laura Doby of Jarratt, Va.; four sisters, Thelma Mabry of Portsmouth, Annie Lewis, Mamie Rose and Ernestine Cook, all of Jarratt; and four brothers, Henry Doby Jr. of Jarratt, Lawrence Doby of Waverly, Va., Robert Doby of Yale, Va., and Melvin Doby of South Hill.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Knox-High Mortuary Chapel, Emporia, by the Rev. W. A. Cotton. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Garden. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
