GOV. ALLEN AND WIFE EXPECTING 3RD CHILD

Gov. George F. Allen and his wife, Susan, are expecting their third child.

Allen concluded the State Dinner at the annual Southern Governors' Association meeting Monday night by announcing that the first lady was pregnant. The baby is due in March, about two months after Allen, 45, leaves office.

``It's with a great deal of exciting anticipation that the next chapter of our lives will include the arrival of our third child,'' Allen told the gathering at The Homestead resort.

The Allens have two children: a daughter, Tyler, 9, and a son, Forrest, 6.

``Tyler and Forrest look forward to the arrival of a new brother or sister,'' Susan Allen, 36, said.
