Emma Combs, 80, of the 7700 block of Armfield Ave., died Sept. 9, 1997.
Born in South Carolina, she was a member of the New Central Baptist Church, Norfolk. She was the widow of John Combs.
Survivors include three daughters, Lula Combs-Fields, Rosa Combs-Harris, and Marion Combs-Shepherd, all of Norfolk; a son, Eugene Combs of Norfolk; two sisters-in-law, Henrietta White and Hattie Downing, both of Plymouth, N.C.; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday in New Central Baptist Church, Norfolk by the Rev. James Missick. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake.
