GLORIA J.W. COOK

Gloria Juanita Wilkins Cook, the daughter of the late Lloyd H. Wilkins and Annie Bell Porter Wilkins Mouring, slipped away on Sept. 5, 1997, at a local hospital.

She was a retired Special Education teacher of the Norfolk Public Schools.

Survivors include her husband, John R. Cook Sr.; a daughter, Princess L.C. Boykins of Ohua, Hawaii; a son, John R. Cook Jr.; a son-in-law, SFC William S. Boykins Jr. of Ohua; and a daughter-in-law, Vonda S.S.Cook of Norfolk; a brother, Lloyd H. Wilkins Jr. and his wife of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Bute St. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Robert G. Murray.
