SEMIYAH N. ABDUL

Semiyah Nakita ``Miyah'' Abdul, 2, of the 1900 block of Woodgate Arch, died Sept. 8, 1997. She was born in Norfolk.

She is survived by her parents, Cristel and Richard Abdul of Chesapeake; a sister, Sequoyah Abdul of Chesapeake; great-grandfather, James Cuffee of Brooklyn, N.Y.; great-grandmother, Mary Linda Watford of Norfolk; great-great-grandmother, Mearle Abdul of Brooklyn; grandparents, Edna Kearney of Norfolk, and Frans and Mary Vaneysendeyk of Brooklyn; two aunts, Bristel White of Chesapeake and Maryland Walsh of Miami; three uncles, Robert Lee Kearney Jr. of Norfolk, Larry White of Chesapeake, and Kendall Rodgers of Norfolk; a devoted cousin, Damion Kearney of Chesapeake; four first cousins, Venita Jones of Virginia Beach, Starr White of Norfolk, Nicholas Whitted and Junik Walsh, both of Miami; a godsister, Mikhiyah Yishrael of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 525 Dinwiddie St., Norfolk by Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. A wake service will be held at Hoods Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, corner of Mahone Ave. and Rockingham St., Norfolk, from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. Family and friends will assemble at 1980 Woodgate Arch, Chesapeake, at 11 a.m. Saturday for the procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, is in charge of arrangements.
