CLARA M. BLAKELY

Clara Matney Blakely, 52, of the 9500 block of Nittany Drive, died Sept. 9, 1997, at Prince William Hospital.

A native of Virginia Beach, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Florence Matney.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, William W. Blakely; her daughter and son-in-law, Dwayne and Karen Way of Ridgeville, S.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, William R. and LouAnn Blakely of Summerville, S.C., and David W. and Becky Blakely of Sacramento, Calif.; three sisters, June Garner of Sterling, Va., Evelyn Holliday of Virginia Beach, and Ann Wilson of Hampton; four brothers, Jennings Matney of Chesapeake, Eddie Matney of Virginia Beach, James Matney of Ferndale, Wash., and Roy Matney of Hampton; four grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Dorchester, S.C., at 3 p.m. Saturday. Parks Funeral Home, Summerville, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
