HAMPTON ROADS

BANK PROMOTES SNEAD AND JACKSON: Heritage Bank & Trust has promoted Sharon H. Snead and Catherine P. Jackson. Snead was promoted to branch manager of the Military Circle office and has been with the bank for eight years. Jackson was named senior vice president and joined the bank in 1977. She is in charge of the bank's operations center, in Greenbrier.

BIZEXPO TO BE HELD NEXT WEEK: BizExpo '97, Virginia's largest business-to-business trade show, will kick off at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Virginia Beach Pavilion and continue through Thursday. The annual trade show gives businesses the opportunity to meet, show and sell to more than 6,000 business decision-makers. Attendees will be able to visit more than 200 business exhibitors and learn about their products and services. The trade show portion runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday; 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday. Free tickets are available at all chamber offices. Tickets at the door are $7. NORFOLK

SOUTHERN SANITARY COMPANY RELOCATES: Southern Sanitary, a janitorial and maintenance supply company, has moved to a newly renovated facility at 37th Street and Hampton Boulevard. The facility is less than a quarter mile from the previous location on Hampton Boulevard. Cecelia Layton Owen, the company's chief executive officer and president, said it needed a larger building.

CONFERENCE FOR WOMEN: Time is winding down for people to register for the third annual Business Women of Colour Conference in Norfolk. The event promotes ``women of all nations meeting the challenge of entrepreneurship into the 21st century'' and will be held Sept. 26 and 27 at the Omni Waterside Hotel. Registration rates run from $72.50 for students to $145 for full-conference for adults. Attending only the networking business reception costs $35 if paid by Monday. Afterward, the fee rises $25. VIRGINIA BEACH

DOOLE NAMED TO VICE PRESIDENT POSITION: International Family Entertainment appointed Sarah Doole to vice president of international business development. She will be responsible for establishing international production opportunities in Africa and the Far East. She will also support the launch of United Family Communications' three Latin American networks. She was head of commercial development at London-based Granada Media Group.

VIRGINIA

MOHOROVIC NAMED A VICE PRESIDENT WITH CSX: Jesse R. Mohorovic has been appointed to vice president-corporate relations for CSX Corp. in Richmond. Mohorovic will manage the corporation's investor relations function, reporting to chirman and CEO John W. Snow and working with the Finance Department and senior management in the chairman's office.
