WARREN T. LASSITER

Senior Master Sgt. Warren Thomas Lassiter Sr., 60, died Tuesday Sept. 9, 1997, at his home with his wife and daughter.

Warren was a native of New York and a Peninsula resident for more than 15 years. Retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1985 as a senior master sergeant with 30 years of service, he later worked for Ryder Services as operations manager until his illness.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Ann Lassiter; his daughters, Diamond Lassiter of Silver Spring, Md., Emerald Lassiter of Georgia, Anita A. Ayala of Churchland, Va., Maria Ann Smith and Alicea Faye Beale, both of Portsmouth; his sons, Warren T. Lassiter Jr. of California, Chancelor and George Lassiter, both of Newport News; a sister, Essie Carrington of New York; eight grandchildren and devoted friends, Mr. Blont and Mr. Harvey.

A funeral will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday in Amory Funeral Home by Brother Calvin Wright. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia, Va. Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
