Zell Hudson Sr., 88, of the 200 block of Pocahontas Ave., died Sept. 8, 1997, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Brunswick County, he was the widower of Louise Hudson and a member of Popular Mount Church. He was retired.
Survivors include a daughter, Alease Hudson Scott; a son, Zell Hudson Jr.; three sisters, Fannie Powell, Lula Mae Lundy, Mary T. Barnes, all of Emporia; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Lucy Kelly and Edmond Hudson.
A funeral was held Thursday, Sept. 11, in Piney Grove Baptist Church. Burial in Southview Cemetery. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home handled arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
