SECURITY COMPANY EXPANDS VIRGINIA BEACH OFFICE: Commonwealth Security Systems has expanded its Virginia Beach sales and service office by adding two to its local management staff. David Emery was named southern regional manager. He will be responsible for mass marketing and installation of free home security systems with monitoring in the company's Virginia Beach, Richmond and Baltimore offices. He was Mid-Atlantic regional manager for Masada Security in Richmond. Dan Sloan was named sales manager. He was a sales manager for Masada Security.
CBN TO OFFER MONEY MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE: CBN Ministry Events will present its first financial conference, ``Money Management'' Oct. 30 - Nov. 2 at The Founders Inn and Conference Center. The event will offer in-depth teachings on investment principles, current and future economic trends, personal budgeting and church finances. Sessions will feature Jonathan Steinberg, author of ``Midas Investing: How You Can Make At Least 20% in the Stock Market This Year and Every Year,'' and Bruce Anderson, president of Church Development Systems. NEW OPERATIONS DIRECTOR AT LYNNHAVEN MALL: Dennis Casmer was named the new operations director at Lynnhaven Mall. He comes to Lynnhaven from Eastland Center in Detroit, Mich., where he was operations manager for four years.

HARRIS TEETER TO OPEN NEXT MONTH: Harris Teeter, a Matthews, N.C.-based grocery retailer, will open its first Newport News store Oct. 15 at 12404 Warwick Blvd. The 56,000-square-foot store will employ approximately 140 full- and part-time associates. The store will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

BUCKINGHAM PROMOTED AT COLLEGE: David E. Buckingham, vice president for student affairs and dean of students at Virginia Wesleyan College, was named special assistant to the college's president, William T. Greer Jr. Buckingham will continue his duties in student affairs. Buckingham will assist in areas of marketing, strategic long-range planning, restructuring and other new projects and initiatives.
