MABLE H. RIDDICK

Mable Henretta Riddick of the 1500 block of Back Bay Landing Road died Sept. 10, 1997.

Born in Hertford County, N.C., she was the widow of George Riddick Sr. and a member of Divine Baptist Church, Chesapeake.

Survivors include five daughters, Cynthia Smith and Darlene Bell, both of Virginia Beach, and Ora M. Brickhouse, Syvella Y. Riddick and Ruth B. Adams, all of Chesapeake; three sons, Kenney E. Riddick of Virginia Beach, George N. Riddick Jr. of Norfolk and Larry Gaines of Hyattsville, Md.; a sister, Mollie White of Portsmouth; a brother, Bruce Benthall of Georgia; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Divine Baptist Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. J.R. Briggs. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 408 Ivy Crescent, Chesapeake. Viewing will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
