STEVEN B. SIMS

Steven Bernard ``Frosty'' Sims, 37, of the 1000 block of Taylor Road, died Sept. 8, 1997, in DePaul Hospital.

He was born in Rock Hill, S.C., and was a member of Good News Family Worship Center, Norfolk; Chapter M.W. Prince Hall; Grand Lodge of Virginia and Brighton Rock Lodge No. 133. He served in the U.S. Navy for 16 years. Mr. Sims was predeceased by his mother, Mary Frances Sim.

He is survived by his wife, Altermease Renea Sims; two daughters, Sjmoya Nichole Sims and Shadai Ar'Mani Monet Sims; his father; Woodrow Robinson; sisters, Laverne B. Sims Hinton, Lavetta Sims Ward, Joyce Y. Dunlap and Jill Barber; two brothers, Ricky F. Sims and Dwayne F. Sims; maternal grandmother, Mildred Sims; paternal grandparents, Paul and Edmonia McFadden; aunts, Louise Joseph, Doretha Anderson, Glennice McFadden, Beryl McFadden; nieces and nephews; and two brothers-in-law, James R. Hinton Jr. and Thomas Word.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday in Good News Family Worship Center, 925 N. Military Hwy., across from Military Circle in Norfolk, by Levi Willis II. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery. Family will receive relatives and friends for visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. today at P.G. Thomasson Funeral Service.
