GENEVA T. FOX

Geneva Tatum Fox, 80, died Sept. 12, 1997, in Shore Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox.

A native of Pulaski, Tenn., she was the widow of Thomas A. Fox Sr. and daughter of the late Leslie Gray and Ruby Russell Tatum.

Mrs. Fox, a licensed funeral director and retired registered nurse, was manager of the Fox and James Funeral Home and active member of the Virginia Funeral Directors Association where she served in many capacities. Most recently she had served on the VFDA Credentials Committee.

She was a member of Johnsons United Methodist Church and past Matron of Northampton Chapter No. 2 Cape Charles and past Grand Martha of the Grand Chapter of Virginia Order of the Eastern Star, charter member of the Eastville Homemakers Club and member of the Eastern Shore Womans Club.

Survivors include a son, Thomas A. Fox Jr. and his wife, Nancy Tillman Fox of Machipongo, Va.; two sisters, Ruth T. Sumners of Eastville and Betty T. Vasiliadis of Naples, Fla., and three grandchildren, Shannon, Emily and Ben Fox, all of Machipongo.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Johnsons United Methodist Church, Johnsontown, by the Rev. Brooke Willson and the Rev. Thomas Driggs. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Johnsons United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. Fay Webb, 13527 Deerfield Trail, Machipongo, Va. 23405, or the Eastville Volunteer Fire Dept., P.O.
