E.V. Williams Inc. in Norfolk received a $894,594 contract for the 1994 road bond referendum, Phase II, Centerville Turnpike in Chesapeake.

Asphalt Roads & Materials Co. in Virginia Beach received a $1.5 million contract for intersection improvements at St. Paul's Boulevard in Norfolk.

S.B. Ballard Inc. in Norfolk received a $1.9 million contract for visitor parking facility, Phase II, Eastern Virginia Medical Center.

Seema Inc. in Hampton received a $3.3 million contract for the Navy Exchange Mall expansion at the Naval Station in Norfolk.

C.B.C. Enterprises Inc. in Norfolk received a $6 million contract for renovation of the student quarters at the Armed Forces Staff College.

BANKRUPTCIES

Bankruptcies, of business and individuals operating businesses, filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Norfolk:

The Gourmet Connection Ltd., trading as ZAZOU, filed Chapter 7 liquidation on Sept. 4. Assets and liabilities were not available.

Charles Henry Peirce and Theresa Swain Peirce, trading as Ace Fence and Deck, filed Chapter 7 liquidation on Sept. 4 with assets of $120,469 and liabilitiers of $188,527.78.

John M. Poblador, towing service and stereo installation business, filed Chapter 13 debt repayment plan on Sept. 5. Assets and liabilities were not available.

Pat. J. Cotturone and Antoinette R. Cotturone, doing business as The Fabulous Balloon Man, and formerly doing business as New Creations, filed Chapter 13 debt repayment plan on Sept. 5 with assets of $170,809 and liabilities of $184,577.44.
