NELLIE JACOBS

Nellie Jacobs, 86, a resident of Chesapeake Health Center and formerly a longtime resident of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., died Sept. 11, 1997, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

She is survived by her sister, Catherine Y. Bray and her brother, Clarence Wallace and his wife, Jeanette, all of Chesapeake; one nephew, Clarence Michael Wallace and his wife, Eula of Orlando, Fla.; one niece, Charnette W. Simmons and her husband, Tyrone of Atlanta. Additionally, she has four great-nephews; three beloved cousins, Helen Jacobs Stith and her husband, Thomas of Portsmouth, Eleanor Hortence Jones of Euless, Texas and Souadrey Jacobs Guidry and her husband, Alfred of Stafford, Texas.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church, Berkley, by the Rev. William Tyree III. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 630 Crystal Ave., Chesapeake. Chatman Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
