EARL T. BARTLETT

Earl Thomas Bartlett, 90, of the 400 block of North 343, died at Guardian Care on Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997.

A native of Camden County, he was a farmer, former custodian of Grandy Primary School in Camden, and the oldest member of Widow's Son Masonic Lodge (NU)75, Camden, and a member of Sawyer's Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Bartlett was the son of the late John Thomas ``Dick'' and Addie Forbes Bartlett and the widower of Dora Owens Bartlett.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Horace (Alice) Sawyer of Camden; two sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Watkins of Camden and Mrs. Sarah Heller of Jacksonville, N.C.; a brother, Henning Bartlett of Camden; two granddaughters, Mrs. Eddie (Jan) Cartwright of South Mills and Mrs. Jonathan (Julie) Blizzard of Blunts Creek; two grandsons, Wade H. Sawyer of Camden and Walt E. Sawyer of Burlington; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, with the Rev. George Pollock officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Sawyer, 645 N. Highway 343 in Camden, immediately following the service. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
