Thelma Greene Rountree, 74, of Route 1, died Sept. 14, 1997, in her home.
A native of Gates County, she was the widow of Walter Dallas Rountree. She was a member of Eure Christian Church and a homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, Alvin Rountree and his wife, Nancy, of Manteo, and James Dallas Rountree and his wife, Rita, of Eure; a sister, Helen Kannair of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; a grandchild and a step-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Eure Christian Church by the Rev. Wayne Gardner, with burial in the church cemetery. Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
