JOSEPHINE E. HUNTLEY

Josephine Epps Huntley, 74, of Brent-Lox Nursing Home, died Sept. 12, 1997, in her residence.

She was the widow of Clemmie D. Huntley. She retired as a nursing assistant and private duty nurse. She was a resident of Mount Hermon Community for more than 40 years. She then resided on Elm Avenue, Portsmouth, before going to Brent-Lox Nursing Home.

Survivors include a daughter, Frances Denise Huntley Amos of Portsmouth; a son, Russell Epps of Portsmouth; a sister, Hazel L. Turner of Portsmouth; a brother, Junius Epps Sr. of Portsmouth; two grandchildren, Tiffany Jehaela Amos and Tobias Jahmal Amos; a son-in-law, TJ Amos of Portsmouth; a brother-in-law, Robert L. Turner of Portsmouth; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Epps of Portsmouth; two special nieces, Alisa T. Ballard of Portsmouth, LaWanda A. Turner-Hamlin of Suffolk; a special nephew, the Rev. Marcus E. Turner of Maryland; three special cousins, Hattie Lindsey of Portsmouth, Beatrice Brown of Suffolk and Emma Brown of Maryland.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Marcus E. Turner. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10 a.m to 8 p.m. Wednesday. A wake service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Family will receive friends at 120B Dahlgren Ave., Portsmouth, where family and friends also will assemble at 11 a.m. for the procession to the chapel. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
