CHARLES C. HICKMAN

Charles Carlton Hickman, 75, of the 2100 block of General Booth Blvd. died Sept. 13, 1997, in his home.

Mr. Hickman was a native of Norfolk. He retired from the U.S. Merchant Marines, serving during World War II.

He was the son of the late George Hickman and Mary Bright Hickman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth S. Hickman, and a brother, Jack Blair Hickman.

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Hunter Hickman of Virginia Beach; two sons, Douglas Carlton Hickman of Richmond, Kim Gordon Hickman of Virginia Beach; a brother; George Hunter Hickman of Norfolk; a sister, Cecelia C. Johnston of Virginia Beach; and one grandaughter, Corie Elizabeth Hickman of Virginia Beach.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 1 a.m. Wednesday September 17, 1997, at Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Virginia Beach by Father James E. Dorson. Burial will be at Colonial Grove Memorial Park in Virginia Beach. There will be a wake service at the funeral home Tuesday at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Court House Volunteer Rescue Squad. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
