Ellie Nolley Rose, 86, of the 1900 block of Garrett St. died Sept. 14, 1997, in a local hospital.
She was a native of Floyd, Va., the widow of James E. Rose and a member of Alexander Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Wilbanks of Glen Allen, Va., Virginia Compton of Portsmouth; five sons, Bob Rose, Dale Rose, both of Portsmouth, Tom Rose of Hurst, Texas, Jim Rose of Kearns, Utah, Roger Rose of Smiths Creek, Mich.; a brother, Jess Nolley of Roanoke, Va.; 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Pastor David Alexander. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
