Ella Nora Whitehurst, 86, of the 400 block of Dorset Ave., died Sept. 14, 1997, in a local hospital.
Born in Knotts Island, Va., she was the widow of Wilfred Washington Whitehurst and a retired chef of Traymore Hotel after six years. Mrs. Whitehurst was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Danny Whitehurst of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Joseph E. Brewer and the Rev. Kermit Mitchell. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Foundation. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
