TAKE SHORTCUT TO DINNER WITH BOXED ENTREE, SIDE DISH

TIME-STARVED cooks can create a quick meal with Cafe Perdue Fresh Meal kits. Each kit includes a meat entree and accompanying dish that can be prepared in 10 to 15 minutes. The kits are $6.99 at Farm Fresh.

Other dinner selections include boneless London broil for $1.77 a pound, and Perdue roaster breast or smoked picnics for 99 cents a pound at Farmer Jack.

If BLTs suit your fancy, Gwaltney bacon is $1.99 a pound at Farm Fresh and lettuce is 39 cents a head at 3 Stores 1 Roof.

Harris Teeter's large white eggs are 49 cents a dozen, limit two.

Produce specials include avocados for 77 cents each and six ears of corn for $1 at Farmer Jack.

Farm Fresh has red or gold delicious apples for 97 cents a pound, cantaloupes for 87 cents and scuppernong grapes for 97 cents a pound.

Assorted specials this week at Farmer Jack include six-roll package of Coronet towels for $2.89 and a half-gallon of Florida Natural Premium orange juice is $1.37.
