JOHN C. OLAH

John Calvin Olah, 29, of the 6600 block of Pinewood Court, died Sept. 16, 1997, in his residence.

Born in Norfolk, he was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and the Endependent Living Center, Norfolk. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Survivors include his mother, Barbara W. Olah of Virginia Beach; his father, Philip F. Olah Sr., and his wife, Rita, of Virginia Beach; a sister, Rose McCoy of Virginia Beach; a brother, Philip Olah Jr. of Chesapeake; grandparents, George and Annie Olah of Chesapeake; six uncles, George Olah of Ontario, Canada, Charles Olah of Chesapeake, Frank Olah of Lynchburg, Va., Stanley Olah of Nelson County, Va., and Timmy Olah and Mike Olah of Chesapeake; six aunts, Mary Davenport of Chesapeake, Theresa Lane of Norfolk, Gloria Cooley of Chesapeake, Judy Hendrix of Charlotte, N.C., Nancy Mantooth of Chesapeake, and Yvonne Avripas of Virginia Beach.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel.
