KATHERINE S. CLARK

Katherine Spencer Clark, 73, of the 500 block of N. Centerville Turnpike, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 1997, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

Mrs. Clark was born in Bayboro, N.C., the daughter of the late Thomas Z. and Martha Riggs Spencer. She was a member of Centerville Baptist Church and a former member of Bethel Baptist Church, both in Chesapeake.

Survivors include her husband, Warren H. Clark Sr. of Chesapeake; three daughters, Martha C. Ayers of Beech Bluff, Tenn., Mary-Ann C. Palmer and Patricia C. Lundgren, both of Chesapeake; her son, Warren H. Clark Jr. of Weddington, N.C.; two sisters, Josephine S. Rolison of Dover, Del., Peggy S. Walker of Hillsborough, N.C.; two brothers, Thomas Z. Spencer Jr. of Grantsboro, N.C., Edward L. Spencer of Alliance, N.C.; six grandchildren, William W. Bachtell, Evan S. Clark, Peyton C. Palmer, Ryan D. Sawyer, Lauren M. Sawyer and Kerra M. Lundgren.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Centerville Baptist Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. David Shelton and the Rev. John Dearing. Private interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, from 6 to 9 p.m. today and requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Portsmouth-Chesapeake Unit, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
