Approval of minutes from Sept. 3 meeting, Approved 7-0

Submit, accept and appropriate $120,862 grant from Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services to create Domestic Violence Response Team under V-STOPProgram - second reading, Approved 7-0

Appropriate $17,100 from General Fund Unappropriated Fund Balance to Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad for use as matching grant funds for State Rescue Squad Assistance Fund - first reading, Approved 7-0

Amend Chapter 31 of city zoning code, to add term ``telecommunication tower''throughout Zoning Ordinance to group of similar utilities which now require conditional use permit and require conditional use permit for those uses in manufacturing and central business districts, Approved 7-0

Consider rezoning request RR11-97 for approximately 8.47 acres of land from M-2, Heavy Manufacturing, to B-2, General Business Approved 7-0

Consider request V2-97 by Joshua Pretlow Jr. on behalf of W. Dan Holly Jr., et al, for variance from Section 25.5-3-7 of Subdivision Ordinance Taken off of the agenda

Consider rezoning request RR21-94 for Master Plan Amendment for Hillpoint Farms Planned Development Housing District Approved 6-1
