Rose G. Cogliandro, 76, died Sept. 18, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mrs. Cogliandro was a native of Portsmouth and resided in Suffolk with her daughter Christine Parrish and her family. She was the widow of John J. Cogliandro. Mrs. Cogliandro was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Storino, and two brothers, Danny Gambardella and Joseph Gambardella. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Chesapeake.
Mrs. Cogliandro, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, is survived by her two brothers, Herbert Gambardella of Virginia Beach and Matt Gambardella of Norfolk; four daughters, Patricia Wagner of Chesapeake, Barbara Cogliandro of Baltimore, Mary Frances Hawkins of Chesapeake and Christine Parrish of Suffolk; a son, Sanny John Cogliandro of Chesapeake; six grandchildren, Gretchen Ratliff, John Tefft, Lucas Cogliandro, Anna Cogliandro, Daniel Parrish, Joseph Parrish; and a great-grandchild, Marisa Ratliff.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated today at 1 p.m. in St. Therese Catholic Church by Father Jim Griffin. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart and Lung associations, 360 Southport Circle, Suite 104, Virginia Beach, Va. 23452, or the American Diabetes Association, 101 W.
