LUCILLE E. JEFFORD

Lucille E. Jefford, 79, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 1997, at Bayside Rehabilitation Center, Virginia Beach.

Lucille was from Philadelphia, Pa., where she worked for over 30 years at All Saints Hospital. In 1985 she retired to Virginia Beach to be with her daughter and grandchildren. She served the community for several years as a volunteer at Social Services and the Virginia Employment Commission where she received special recognition for her selfless contributions.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Ellis and her long-time companion, Paul McKimens, both of Virginia Beach; her sister, Anna Marie Fiordimondo of Elmer, N.J.; her brother, Lewis J. Moore Jr. of Pensacola, Fla.; her grandchildren, Christine, John and Karren Ellis; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Max Ellis, all of Virginia Beach.

Those who knew Lucille will remember her unfailing generosity and kindness. We loved her deeply and words cannot express how much she will be missed.

Her family will hold a graveside memorial service at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Princess Anne Memorial Park with Dr. William Austin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to Virginia Beach Christian Church, 2225 Rosehall Drive, Virginia Beach, Va. 23454 or to the local S.P.C.A.
