Marion Jenkins Hall, 79, of the 700 block of Battlefield Blvd., died Sunday, Sept. 21, 1997, in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mrs. Hall was born in Norfolk and was a life-long resident of Great Bridge and Kill Devil Hills, N.C. She was the wife of the late Franklin Edward Hall Sr. and the daughter of the late Stonewall Jackson and Bessie Cleveland Dickinson Jenkins. She was crowned Miss Norfolk in 1936 and was awarded the North Carolina Leadership Development for Women Award by Gov. James Hunt.
Survivors include her two sons, Franklin Edward Hall Jr. of Chesapeake and George Allen Hall of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
