CLARA E. WOOTEN

Clara E. Wooten, 77, of the 3100 block of Bruno Drive, died Sept. 19, 1997, in her home.

Born in Oak City, N.C., she was the widow of Ernest L. Wooten and a member of Cathedral of Faith Church of God in Christ, Chesapeake.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Wooten and Linda Wooten-Opie, both of Virginia Beach, and Wanda Morant of Hamden, Conn.; a stepdaughter, Patricia Bell of Charlotte, N.C.; three sons, Ernest L. Wooten Jr. and Julius A. Wooten, both of Chesapeake, and James Wooten of Portsmouth; 26 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends and one sister-in-law, Lela M. Ebron of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Cathedral of Faith Church of God in Christ by Dr. G. Wesley Hardy. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Garden Mausoleum, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 2 p.m. today. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
