Thomas Mike Riggins, 57, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997, in a Tampa, Fla., hospital.
He was a Portsmouth native and a retired Portsmouth firefighter. He moved from Portsmouth to Florida in 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Jean R. Riggins of Tampa; his mother, Eva Rae Riggins of Elizabeth City, N.C.; three sons, Michael O'Keith Riggins and Robert Brian Riggins, both of Tampa, John Williams Riggins of Mulberry, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and other times at 18 Harrower Court, Portsmouth. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
